This phone is 2G and is considered a Senior's phone and has no internet due to not detecting the SIM it can't receive messages nor send. been going around in circles in customer services on this site for hours. I can't speak so sending phone numbers isn't going to help.

Some one please help, I'm at my wits end!

It could be wither a faulty phone.. if so contact Nokia  - https://www.nokia.com/phones/en_gb/support

It could also be a faulty sim card, you can either order one via Customer Services, or pop into a o2 store with Photo ID and they can do a sim swap. there and then.

Ah, okay thanks....I'm kind of disappointed that the phone could be faulty straight from the box.

I have opened laptops straight from the factory and its been DOA, so it happens in tech, it could be as a simple as a poorly soldered wire.
