New Contract Not Activated 8 Days After Delivery

Hi,

I ordered a Pixel 8 on the 11th of December for £509, intending to benefit from the £200 Extra trade-in. I ordered it with an airtime plan of £9 a month, which I could cancel at any time.

I received the phone a week ago, but the SIM hasn't been activated yet. On My Orders, it says "processing." I have spent many hours on the phone and on webchat trying to get help with this, but each time they said they were transferring the inquiry to a different department and would get in touch with me within 24 hours.

I can't send the old phone back because they can't send me the prepaid packaging. The recycling team seems to get the information from their system once the new contract is activated. The promotion is about to expire, and I potentially stand to lose over £200.

 

Could I please get some help with this?
