It is one of 2 things either the simcard reader has failed or the sim has failed.

Try your current sim card in a different phone, if it works then contact the handset manufacturer for support.

If it doesnt then If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to arrange a new sim card for you, or if you want it quicker then pop to an o2 shop with Photo ID and they can do a swap there an then for you.

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

@Snowy63

Check the guide here Guide: Is the network down for me or everyone?

If you need a new sim, pop into your local O2 store with ID or contact O2.

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

If the phone is faulty, contact a repair shop or the phone manufacturer.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
