My roaming won't work abroad. Why?

Hello, 

Can anyone help? My service has not worked since I arrived on holiday in Italy. I'm unsure why this is, I have turned on my roaming and data but it keeps saying I have no service. My boyfriends phone works but he isn't on 02 like me. Why is this happening and how can I fix this?

@LauraItaly1 You may not have roaming enabled on your phone. Customer service needs to do that for you.

You can reach O2 via social media:

Or you can call them on 0800 081 0255 using Skype: Guide: A Guide to Skype

Some things to try:
Manually search for another network
Reboot the phone
If you have an iPhone change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
If still not working then contact O2 to remove the Roaming bar on your account.
