My phone won’t allow connection to NHS 111? Has anyone else experienced this and did you fix it?

I tried to get through to the NHS number 111 but my phone just cuts it off, three bleeps and then nothing.

I can dial other short numbers just not 111?

it’s a national free number in the UK for medical emergencies or advice. It’s not a premium number.

it’s an essential number for British citizens.

I called 02 twice and spoke to the robot no luck. This is urgent thanks

I would never be abusive to anyone and especially the NHS.  The 3 bleeps mean it’s not even connecting to 111 to get to the bit where you would be blocked.

There is one other reason it wont work, and that is if you have been abusive to staff on the 111 service, as like a lot of services they can block you from accessing the service.

That would be a policy issue within the NHS111 service - it would not cause a telecoms network to stop routing calls from a particular number.
