Lost network connection after my number was ported

I have recently joined O2. On Tuesday (6/12) I received the SIM (Tarif: O2 Sim Only Unlimited mins 12M 4GB). I put it into my phone and it worked perfectly. With the PAC code from my previous provider I called O2 and the transfer of my number was scheduled for the following day, Wednesday (7/12). In the afternoon I lost connection with my old provider and online in 'my O2' my old number was now the one associated with my SIM. I had been told by O2 to change the settings of my iPhone, so I put my number into the 'phone/my number / settings. I turned my phone off and back on again. But it did not find a network. Now, more than 24 hours later this is still the case. Help, please!

Other things to try (assuming you have reset the network settings @Meconopsis 😞

  • check the SIM is correctly in the phone
  • give the SIM a wipe with a non-static cloth
  • try the SIM in another phone to see if that works (if yes, indicates an issue with your phone)
  • try another SIM in your phone (if that works it indicates an issue with your SIM)
  • contact o2 customer services to see if they can help - call 202 or message on social media (links below)

@Meconopsis

Reset your network settings.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
