I have two telephone number for two separate contracts both in my name but I cannot log in to both. I can log in to one which is linked to my child's phone but not the one linked to my own account.

Can you log in online https://mymobile.o2.co.uk/ ?
If so, try deleting the app, rebooting your phone and then reinstall the app.
