I can't call or message on my phone I was wondering Is it possible to keep the same number and order a new sim as I think this is the problem

You can always keep your mobile phone number.
When you get your new sim you will need to do a sim swap I will give you the guide here:

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.
Or pop into your local O2 store with ID.
