I am traveling in the Philippines and I bought a sim at the airport but I now have concerns my phone has been compromised. I have just put my 02 sim back in my phone after two days and 02 have tried to call me twice. I tried to called them today but the line was patchy, and the agent asked me to verify my number even though I was calling from my mobile phone and I don't think I have ever had to verify my number when calling 02 before. I tried to log-in via the app instead, but it started glitch, I signed out and then it asked me to log back in, and again it asked me to verify my phone number but when I log-in on my laptop the number is there. Should I be concerned about this?

It may well be that it was not O2 that called you. People are getting lots of calls preporting to be O2 but are in fact scam merchants pretending to be O2.

Probably scammers trying to call you pretending to be O2.
I'd ignore it until you get back home and call O2 then.
