The instructions for extending ring time on my phone do not work.....I just get an mmi error message.

Samsung are notorious for this.

Turn off WiFi and Volte / WiFi calling. Then select 3G/2G as your network type and then try.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
