Don’t answer this number: +44 20 3838 2296 from London!

I’ve received a call from this guy for weeks now because at first he seemed super friendly and legit but I was busy so asked him to call me another time. Well today I finally carried on the call and he sent me one of those verification texts with a one-time code and asked me to give it to him so he could give me 40% off my bill for the next 6 months or so. In the text it says O2 would never do this so I hung up and blocked him and continued to report it to O2. Thought I’d just mention it on here in case people were wondering if this is legit - it’s not!

Other numbers from Manchester were:

+44 161 524 7847

+44 161 524 7843

They’re getting smarter out there and was super friendly and courteous pronouncing everything so clearly! Be careful. Be safe.

@Dklei5 This is not O2. This is a customer community. Cold calling in the UK is not illegal. Use the links above to report the number of the caller.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

@Dklei5

The number is spoofed anyway so even if O2 traced it, it would lead them to the scammer.

Just block it and any other variations they use to call from.

I know and it is annoying , let say you have someone ringing your doorbell every day , surely you can do something about it , there we are.....you are not paying a line to be scammed , because let get this right, if we go along those phone calls , certainly our details are being stored  and used somehow ,whether sold to other scamming companies etc....we all get the drift

The person was shouting "CAN IS SPEAK TO" i was just like " why are you shouting"

And no it is not entertainment to me , but a nuisance

Keep well safe everyone

You could take the battery out of your doorbell, or wedge a piece of foam between the chimes, @Dklei5 😆
