I understand that 3G is being discontinued by the end of 2025 here in the UK
I have an OPPO A16s mobile phone that has 4G capability
I have been to the O2 store in Manchester and been told that my sim card is 4G.
I have been told that once 3G is shut down my phone will continue to work normally..is this correct ?
Having looked around the internet I am seeing something called VoLTE and that it should be turned on.
Problem is..I don't have this option on my phone. I click on Settings/Mobile network/SIM1 and there is nothing on the page that says VoLTE ??.
So..do I need it..can I put it on my phone or do I need to change the phone even tho it has 4G.
Thanks in advance.

VoLTE is only available to contracts, not PAYG.
Either way, your phone will still work as it will use 2g for calls and 4g for data.

Depends if you are PAYG or a Contract Customer
PAYG does not allow VoLTE. (O2 name it 4G Calling)
You can always check if VoLTE is working on your phone by making a call (voicemail will do) If the phone stays on 4G it is working if it drops to 3G then VoLTE is not switched on.
