Solved: Charges whilst abroad

I am told whilst abroad in the caribbean i will be charged if i don't which off my voicemail. Do I have to call O2 to switch this off or can i do it myself? Also am i charged if i receive a text message?

No charge to receive texts

You may not be able to switch off voicemail yourself if the short code 1760 doesn't work where you are
