Hi, I have recently gone self employed and use my phone as my business phone and would like to change my billing details to my business bank account. I have tried this on the app but I can’t change name to my business account name?

You will need to transfer the account to a business o2 contract and that way you can add the business bank account.
You can speak to business customer services on 8002 who can advise how to do this.

You could just change the account number and sort code
It doesn't matter what the account name is to O2
Unless you need that detail on the billing?

It does now @jonsie as the new Banking regulations require o2 to match the name that you submit to the bank account name.. Its the same for Faster Payments, and in the same vein if something goes wrong and they match and you agree to the mandate, the customer is 100% liable.
This is all to prevent fraud, and stop people setting up Direct Debits to come out of other peoples accounts.
