My account says I have not used any mobile data. I cannot connect to mobile data when I am out even though it is turned on. O2 status says there is an issue in my area SO505RY but it said that last week too.

What can I do or what can you check please?

@Timbit

You need to keep an eye on https://status.o2.co.uk or use the My Network App.

It might be worth checking that Mobile Data is on, and try resetting your network settings.

- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Hi @Timbit

Check out these guides Guide: How can I sort out my network issues?

Guide: Do you have poor coverage / signal Indoors? This may help Explain / resolve it

We're just customers like you but it sounds as if you need someone to access your account which can't be done from here.

Give O2 a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202.

Or you can message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), hopefully they should be able to help

I’ve experienced the same for about 18 months.  I had some total jobsworth spout war and peace at me last week when he called re my complaint.  He said how the network is saturated but it isn’t their issue, even though they’re still signing up even more customers to a network not fit for purpose.

Tried to then palm it all off as Covid being the issue with more people now using phones after the pandemic 🙄🙄

His solution…..switch to 3G for the foreseeable, told him I’d tried and still had the same issue.  He said well you can still make calls when you’ve not got Wi-Fi so we’re technically still providing the coverage they said they would.

Absolute disgrace considering I’ve been with them for well over 16 or so years!

I said I wanted to leave, they said well pay up the 18 months left and you can…..so now I’m going to the Comminications Ombudsman.

I have 15gb of data every month and my phone doesn’t touch any of it as I can’t access anything other than make voice calls outside of a Wi-Fi capable area.

Useless company who are fobbing everyone off with different excuses yet signing up more customers to an already broken infrastructure!
