Hi There,

I'm thinking of upgrading to a Huawei P30 Pro or a P40 Pro but I want to know whether they can connect to the car (Fiesta 2016 model) using bluetooth to play music and make/receive calls. I can find out is that they use an app called Android Auto to mirror the screen. I don't want the screen, I just want to know if it connects to do the things I've mentioned above. Any help would be much appreciated.

A standard bluetooth connection will work just fine.

@Skywalker1987 If the phone isn't running Android you will not be able to use Android Auto.

Edit: A vehicle from 2016 probably wouldn't be compatible anyway.

Thanks for your reply. I saw somebody post a negative review that the phone wouldn't connect to the car and could therefore not make any calls via the handsfree so just wanted to check

I don't want to use Android Auto I just want to know if a standard Bluetooth connection would work with Huawei as my Samsung S10 connects to the car for music and calls etc so didn't want to upgrade to something that doesn't

@Skywalker1987 Fair enough. If all you want to use is Bluetooth there shouldn't be any problem that I can think of.

You can check the different Ford Sync systems and compatibility here
