I recentley upgraded to the Huawei P40 Pro and did not realise at the time the far reaching implications of not being able to use Google (GSM) stuff. Personally I dont think the warnings or information around this are prominent enough on the 02 website, but I digress... So my daughter has gifted me her old Apple iPhone X and I was wondering if it is possible to just switch my sim card to the iPhone? I understand that the iPhone will not use the 5G but I am happy to make this sacrifice. (unless its possible to make use of the esim function on the P40 Pro without attaining a new contract)
many thanks
Martin

iPhone will function fine as a phone by just inserting your sim @MrFox73
Specific iPhone features require iData but nothing that will stop the phone from working.
