Can I delete an unwanted My02 account?

Hello, I have 2 My02 accounts. I want to delete one and keep the other. How do I delete it? I thought there would be a delete option for the account somewhere? I'm surprised there isn't! I've read that I just don't log in but I don't like this idea much as the account is "hanging around" and I'd rather delete it instantly, as I'm afraid of hackers. Thanks

You'll need to call customer service.
Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support 
When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.

Seriously though, what a parlarva! I can't see why there can't simply be a delete option like there is on most accounts!

 

If I don't log in would that be easier. I know I said I don't fancy this idea but if I did that would the account eventually close itself? If so, do you know for how long?
