Hi,
Twice today I've had calls from people/numbers I don't know claiming that I've just rang them, which I know for a fact that I didn't do as my has been sat in front of me.
Has my phone or account been compromised?
Thanks in advance

It's just scammers that have spoofed your number.
Not much you can do about it but they will be using a different number tomorrow.

along the same lines do you know if a wotsapp account or hotmail e-mail account could be hacked from a different phone/number?

WhatsApp could not be but any email account is vulnerable to password hacks.
