'Back office' blocking despatch of new phone

C'mon O2, how hard can it be?

I ordered a new phone a week ago - you advertise that any order placed by Midnight is delivered the following day - that part, you managed to do...

The screen on the supplied phone is blemished, and therefore not acceptable.

I called, and it was confirmed a replacement phone would be sent, complete with a postage bag for the return of the faulty phone - nope, hasn't happened.

Chased on Tuesday to be told it would be sent, due to arrive with me by 11am the following day.

Two days later, no phone, no update.

Chased (again) and asked for this to be escalated - told that there is an issue with O2 back office, and the replacement phone hasn't been released. I'm now working away for pretty much the next 10-days, so any progress if/when it might happen is largely academic as I won't be there to receive a phone.

Can I collect from the local O2 shop, returning the duff item at the same time - NO!

Can you tell me when you can send the replacement - NO, this is down to the Back Office folks!

Can we therefore cancel the upgrade phone - NO!

 

1 out of 10 on Nett Promotor Score - shocking lack of customer service, and whilst you might 'understand' my frustrations, nothing is being done to resolve this.

 

So... how do I get the promised phone, or cancel the order completely?

This is a customer to customer community, not O2, so we cannot access your account, sorry.

You need to contact O2.

Message them on Social Media for best results.
