Hi

I am looking to get a family member an Apple wWatch with cellular, they don’t have a mobile so I was looking to use Truephone as their provider. Will an iPhone on O2 allow Apple Family Set Up of an watch on Truephone?

Thanks

Yes as long as Truephone supports the Apple watch in general.

No, O2 Apple watches can only be paired with your O2 account.

If you want the freedom of other numbers you need to buy direct from Apple

Thanks, so to confirm if the watch was bought from Apple using Truephone as the provider I could use Family Set Up on my O2 iPhone to manage the device?

ScionC - have you added Apple Watch via Family Setup on Truphone to your O2 iPhone? Are you happy with it?

Yes works as expected. Not sure how the battery compares to a watch paired with phone but for context my son charges it overnight and  wears it from 8am to bedtime ( some of this time is on WiFi). Coverage is good, I think Truephone piggyback the O2 network.
