Having failed twice to hear calls on other phones I took advice from Action For Hearing loss and was not disappointed.I chose the Amplicomms PowerTel M9500. Extra loud,if needed, with a handset volume of up to 40dB and a ring tone of up to 90dB. You can switch easily between the easy to use simple facia or standard android operating system. The simple facia is designed specifically for the first time user, or older person. It includes a feature whereby you can seek help from a designated relative or friend who can help remotely..A large display screen makes all-important contacts easily accessible. By touching the screen and holding your finger there for a couple of second, you can access your emails, Whatsapp messages and texts all from the one place. There's an emergency button which pin points the location of the user.

Amplicomms is a leading manufacturer in specialist telecommunications equipment for the hard of hearing, visually impaired and the elderly.

The PowerTel M9500 is an excellent example of how such innovative products can have a positive impact on daily life by keeping people connected.

For newbies the android settings are puzzling . Having used the phone initially in the simplified version I changed to the andoid version, this is where the settings became more complex.

Sadly not this phone is not sold by 02. HearingDirect and Action for Hearing Loss allow purchase, trial with quibble return

Nice little review there @Jenny105.
Out of interest, in what way did the change from simple to Android become more complicated?

Hi, there was supposed to be a photo of the simplified screen or part thereof. Which is good for newbies to smartphones , older folk and possibly hard of hearing people. The latter are helped by the technology.40GSMP9500.jpg
