Rewards, Rewards, Rewards

Hi all,

how are you doing today? It is a new week and we have a new question for you. As you know we always appreciate your input and opinions when improving the O2 Priority App and this week is no exception.

We have another design share for you.

This concept explores a way of 'rewarding engagement' with Priority. We look forward to hearing your thoughts!

What’s the idea:

In the video you’ll see a user receive a surprise gift after redeeming 2 offers in 2 months. After unlocking the perk, they have the option to ‘bank’ or ‘gift to a friend’.

Talking points:

  • What’s your first impression? Is this something you’d engage with?
  • How does redeeming 2 perks in 2 months sound?
  • If the gift was an extra Coffee. Would you keep or gift it?
  • Would you ever choose to gift to a friend?

If you have a minute please share your answers below and make a difference. Your thoughts matter a lot to us.

Re: Rewards, Rewards, Rewards

This is definitely something that would peak my interest, 2 rewards in 2 months is also good because quite often i have found that not all rewards are appropriate for me and so I have not always redeemed, it allows opportunity to catch up so to speak. If the reward was a free coffee I suppose it would depend on whether it was for a coffee shop local to me, if it wasn't then I would gift it to someone more likely to visit that location. I would consider gifting rewards as quite often they're not suitable for me but I feel like I am wasting them if I don't take them. Also if it was ever for anything I had no interest in but I knew my friends liked it I would probably pass it to them in those circumstances

Re: Rewards, Rewards, Rewards

Everytime i've tried to grab something with priority it always seems to be gone. Getting something myself for one month would be rewarding enough for me! Add to that that there's very little near me & the ones that are.. Greggs.. Costa.. aren't something i'd go for anyway.

Negative I know, but that's how I view Priority as a whole.

Re: Rewards, Rewards, Rewards

First impressions are good, 2 redeeming 2 offers over 2 months gives users plenty of time to find ones suitable for them (Question though would there be a way for the customer to know how long then have to redeem their 2nd offer to be eligible)

If the gift was an extra coffee it would depend how likely i was to visit the coffee shop in the period the reward was valid for, otherwise i'd gift it away to those I know pass / use one everyday ;-)

Re: Rewards, Rewards, Rewards

Talking points, very useful.👍

  • What’s your first impression? Is this something you’d engage with?

Where I live, opportunities are limited - even the coffee offer seems beyond my reach most weeks... I tended to send codes to my daughter when she was studying in Liverpool, more chance to use them there.

  • How does redeeming 2 perks in 2 months sound?

Difficult, banking them for 6 months might be better.

  • If the gift was an extra Coffee. Would you keep or gift it?

Gift it, most likely.

  • Would you ever choose to gift to a friend?

Or a relative, yes - sending a code via WhatsApp or similar would help this.

What’s your first impression? Is this something you’d engage with?
Yes if the offers were relevant to me.

How does redeeming 2 perks in 2 months sound?
Great, but again, if the offers are relevant.

If the gift was an extra Coffee. Would you keep or gift it?
Keep it probably.

Would you ever choose to gift to a friend?
Yes for sure.

Re: Rewards, Rewards, Rewards

To be fair, I don't use Priority much at all.

I would (and have) entered or applied for offers if they are relevant to me.

Redeeming 2 offers a month would be a waste for me as I don't use it often.

Extra coffee, I would gift it, as the grandson at Uni enjoys Caffe Nero.

Gifting to a friend? Yes at any time.

Re: Rewards, Rewards, Rewards

The video looked pretty good.

As for the talking points...

  • What’s your first impression? Is this something you’d engage with?
    • Yes, as long as the offers were relevant to me (based on either a tick box of what I like or history of used offers)
  • How does redeeming 2 perks in 2 months sound?
    • Great, so long as they are either relevant or useful - no point having a free coffee if there is no where near to use it!
  • If the gift was an extra Coffee. Would you keep or gift it?
    • Depends who it is with and how long I have to redeem it! If not near me then perhaps gift - but again only if there is somewhere it can be used.
  • Would you ever choose to gift to a friend?
    • Yes - if it were something someone I knew would like/make use of.
