My niece has just put a pay & go sim into her phone. She phoned o2 to top up for first time and lady has asked for the phone number of the sim. Where can that be found?
BTW was trying to get answer from live chat but o2 advisor ended chat without answering query.

It's on the card you pushed the SIM out of.
Some phones hold the number in the phones contacts or top up using a till voucher by purchasing one from a shop and idal 4444, and then make a call from that phone to yours and the number will display.

I think that is the sim card number, not the telephone number.
She has a top up voucher from a shop, but when she dials 4444 she is being asked for the telephone number.

If it's not on the card holding the sim, it's on the envelope it came in.

I was about to ask if you could find it actually on the phone.

I've asked her to look in contacts for my number or my namecard, but she can only find the number that relates to her pay monthly contract (the one I pay the bill for).
She has put this pay&go sim into the handset. She has done sim swap but its not initialised, she says. She has just said there was a message about it taking 24 hours, could that be the reason why she can't find phone number?
