try turning mobile data off & just use wifi whenever possible

No, been with it a while. Was just browsing my bills and noticed I've been charged in the past. I don't usually check my bills as they're never much over the tariff!

If you go into a breakdown of your bills it should tell you what the extra charges are for, whether it's data, mms or calls not covered by your allowance. Download your last bill as a pdf file and all the charges are broken down.
