Some things to try:

  1. Make sure data roaming and mobile data is turned on in your phone's settings.
  2. Manually search for another network
  3. Reboot the phone
  4. If you have an iPhone change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
  5. Try toggling Airplane mode on/off (it often helps kickstart things)
  6. Drop down to 3G and see if that helps.
  7. Contact O2 to see if there are any roaming bars on the account before you go.

If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

Check with customer service that you have no roaming bars on your account

If you have an iphone, check you have idata enabled on your account when you call

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 using the links below, they should be able to help you with this

Thank you I tried all of the above, apart from contacting O2 regarding roaming bars.
