Hi

i have a pay monthly sim only plan 20Gb per month. Unlimited texts and calls

when ive switched off wifi and go to search for sites on the internet it wont allow me to do it. I have checked and have 19.99gb left of the plan for the month and its paid and up to date. Any thoughts?

essentially cant seem to use the internet on the data allowance via 4g

Is this recent? Have you checked your network status? https://status.o2.co.uk/ 

Try switching down to 3G and see if that works.

If your network status is ok and your 3G works you may need a new sim. Pop instore or call O2 on any number in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

If you have an iPhone, go into Settings >Mobile data and scroll down to ensure your apps have data access allowed.
