Are you talking about upgrading early ?

If on refresh tariff simply pay off the handset fee and upgrade.

If in one of the older 2 year contracts pay it off minus any bolt ons and insurance and upgrade.

When is the new Samsung Note 4 coming out on o2? Will the edge be available in the UK?

Should I wait till December in the hope that the price drops some what as i am due an upgrade this month!

Note 4 is available now (O2's availability is in question though).
Edge will not come to the UK for the foreseeable future but is available on line from Europe.
Not much chance of a price drop by December I'm afraid.
