it should do, they will offer you a choice of phones & a price if you have to pay for it

If you upgrade you effectively take a new tariff and will be bound by the new tariff. If, for example you had unlimited texts and the new tariff only came with 500 texts you would loose the unlimited part of your previous tariff.

That's what I meant about trying to get more out of them on the phone you may not get a cheaper handset but may well get extras added on the the contract FOC
