CPW heavily subside the handsets & offer other incentives & perks but sometimes there can be hidden insurance

Do take into account that Carphone Warehouse cannot offer the o2 Refresh Tariff.

I would call o2 retentions on 202 to see if they can match / better a deal you have seen.

Have a copy of the CPW offer to send to the online if they ask for it.

You dont get if you dont ask !

It really is a case of going for the best deal for you. If the Refresh tariff isnt a deal breaker then go for the one that suits you best wink

If I "buy" a phone from Carphone Warehouse on an O2 Tariff - am I an O2 Customer and eligible to join O2 Community?

I ask because I once phoned O2 to ask if they could/would match a deal I saw in Carphone Warehoue and they said no and proceeded to try and justify that by saying that if I went with the CW deal I would not have access to all the wonderful O2 support.  If I had any problems I would have to take them to CW.   Not sure if that is true.

(BTW - I made such a fuss about it at the time that they finally did agree to match the deal. Most unlike me to make a fuss of course LOL

Anyone can join the O2 forum regardless of mobile network.....
It also matters not where or from whom the contract is taken as you will always be paying O2.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

@Gerry, if your an O2 customer you can still join the community. I think you may have misunderstood what you were told. I assume they meant that if your phone breaks you'd have to take it back to CPW & have their geek squad repair as that's the place you got the handset from

I'm not altogether sure why anyone would want to be a Community member unless they were on the O2 network? Why would I want to join the forum of Vodafone?...have they even got a forum?
