my contract is up in 2 weeks,not sure what to change to so might leave it for a bit. my question is what happens to my tarif, does it go down or stay the same. i got the phone through carphone warehouse.

No, your tariff won't go down.
You can upgrade to a 30 day sim which will probably drop the price but allow you to take your time choosing something else.
