@JMM27

You can upgrade early only by paying off what you owe on the device plan in full first.

Guide: How does O2 Refresh work?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

If you are on Refresh, with both Device and Airtime plans, you can only upgrade early by paying the remaining Device plan balance as a lump-sum upfront as shown in your MyO2, @JMM27 - you might, come September '23, be offered an "Early upgrade on us" where O2 eat your last three months Device plan cost - but I would not hold your breath unless you are on a flagship phone and high data and calls tariff.

Your device should still be covered under 2-year manufacturer warranty, have you reached out to them for an assessment for repair?
