Hi

You could visit an o2 high street store to carry out the upgrade and possibly walk out of the shop with the phone of your choice.

Each time you upgrade you have to start a new contract at current prices and terms & conditions you cannot upgrade and keep current tariff/ contract.

You can of course buy sim free and put current sim in to use old contract (but no reduction in monthly cost) or move to a sim free tariff and save money.

But o2 do not do what you have asked
