i want to unlock my iphone 5 o2 have said they cant according to the mail on sunday they can how do i do it

Make sure the iPhone is linked to an active o2 connection.

It is as simple as following the above advice but you must be using the phone on the O2 network with an O2 sim card in it (not Tesco or giffgaff).....
