Solved: unlock phone

I am unlocking my old Samsung Galaxy A5, as I have bought a new one and want to sell the old one.

I have code from o2 but i don't quite understand about inserting a active sim card from another network.

Do i have to go and buy a sim card, and activate it. ???

You can order a sim from Three, EE or Vodafon for free off their websites, or just borrow a friends who is on a different network.
