trying to top up new phone

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

I've just purchased a new Nokia Lumier phone with new sim card. I've tried to add credit twice and been told there's a problem and I can't get the credit onto the phone to start using it. Can anyone advise me please?

To get you started it may be easier to use an ATM or buy a voucher from your local corner shop.
You can then call 4445 and speak to CS to ask them to check your account for you.

Then you need to give the card time to get into the system I would imagine. if problems continue you would need to contact CS 4445 for payg...

When I was on payg I found it easier to go to a shop & buy a voucher, possibly this might be the solution for you

Each to their own Rob.  :smileywink:.....I found it much easier to set up 2 cards to top up online.

When I was in Spain topping up this way was brilliant...and the only way that worked smoothly...

It's rare for a card to decline, possible reasons :

Card has been used to top up more than 2 mobile numbers.

Flat numbers not recognised.

O2 postal system not matching Royal Mail

Bank has different postcode or address details.

Maestro cards not accepted.

To be honest you need to speak to your bank and to customer service for the exact reason.

Also  @jonsie  I had a 3rd card registered....When my son and partner were struggling a bit...I frequently topped their phones up ...using that card...Rolleys
