topping up and charges for data

Anonymous
Not applicable

The monthly deal I have is 500 texts, 100 minutes, 250 MB internet, which expires 28 May.

I received text today (14 May) saying my data has been used up so I topped up 10 pounds (minimum you can top up on mobile), expecting the data to be renewed too. It was not renewed.

I also don’t know if I am being charged now for using data or not.

Is it possible to top up the data without topping up the texts and minutes, since the data is an extra to the deal?

Thank you slight_smile

Your new allowances won't start again until the 28th no matter when you top up. You would have to buy a data bolt on to use until the 28th.

I topped up 10 pounds on my mobile yesterday using my credit card. I realize this was pointless as I meant to pay the 3 pounds for the data. Can you cancel this payment?

In principle shouldn’t the 10 pounds have gone to top up minutes and texts before the month ends (May 28)?

And is the 3 pounds bolt on for 100MB?
