Hello, I have just received a text claiming to be from O2.

It reads -

O2: Payment for your latest bill could not be processed by your bank. Please update your payment information via: [mod edit: removed to ensure safety]

It came off the number +447900358231

I know when my payments are due and it isn't now.

Is this a legitimate text or a scam?

If it is a scam can you tell me how they have got my number as I had requested that my number was not for sale.

I await a prompt reply to this and the response from O2.

Regards

PC

It's a well known scam.
Block number and ignore.
Forward text to 7726 for o2 to investigate.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
