hi there. i'm on pay monthly sim only and i've just bought a new phone that uses a smaller sim card than i the one i have at present. so i guess i need to do a sim swap and i see i can complete the process using the O2 app, but can i order a new sim without having to phone up customer services? i've scoured the website, but not found anything.

You need to contact O2.
All numbers are in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling.
Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
You can also try saying "Upgrade" or "Fraud" to be connected to an advisor.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.

Your old sim may not be a 4g sim sim so best to use the new one, although the iPhone 4 was never 4g, so check it in the new phone first..
If needed, when it arrives, do the sim swap to activate it and transfer your number if O2 haven't done it already.
