showing no service on both old and new sim

i have recently switched from a pay as you go to a monthly contract after doing the sim swap i had service however my new plan was not working and for some reason i was still using the old plan despite the new monthly chip was put in the phone. now this morning i had called o2 regarding this situation and the man over the phone said he has sorted it out for me all i need to do is once my service gone i need to turn my phone on and off again however when i tried this i still have no service

Keep rebooting until your sim comes online.

It can take up to 24 hours but usually it's done in 2 to 4 hours.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
