I have followed all instructions to set up new sim in iphone. still getting 'no service' message over 24 hours later. (have checked service in my locality, it's fine)
Hurrah !! .... just gone for the "switch it off then on again" option.... it worked & I can now enjoy my new phone. ..... still can't get over the fact that this low tech solution is all it takes.... sometimes ;0)

Is this a new sim or a replacement sim?
If replacement then call customer service or use the online to remove any bar on the account.
It maybe you are doing a sim swap so contact customere service for further assistaNCE
