How very patronising they are. I asked about any deals going to upgrade my phone. only to be told i shouldn't expect any discounts since I'm on a low tariff. I am a full-time carer and £28 pm is a lot of money to me . I understand but it's they way she spoke to me. So annoyed 😞 will look at sim only i think, if i stay at all

It can depend sometimes on who you speak to.

Maybe ring Customer Services and ask to speak to the retention teams who may / may not offer a deal.

No need to apologise. If I had been spoken to like that I would feel offended too. Good O2 Customer Service is rapidly becoming a thing of the past.

I am on a sim free tariff...(if you go that route) Saving myself £10 a month by doing it that way...:smileywink:

There are better deals on sim only without a doubt but I'm not sure why they would think £28 is a low tariff? It's nearly twice as much as I'm paying and I managed to get a discount from retentions. Give them another call and see if someone else is prepared to offer you a deal. If not go somewhere they appreciate you.
