premium number dialled... I don't think so !

ok so I come back from hiliday and there's a big o2 bill waiting for me so I look on internet at my account and decide to ring o2 on my mobile to clarify things.

I'm pretty certain I didn't dial a premium number to speak to them (why would I when its free to call them from mobile) anyway I now have a bill for £14 for one call to 02.

My question is has this happened to anyone else?

Did you call 202 from your mobile?

i'm pretty sure I did but in my history it says this I dialled, not sure where I would have got this number from, if not from o2 site, as that was all I did, look on line at my bill , but I can't find that number on their site

Well that's definitely a premium number so maybe you dialled it in error if it's in the call log.

If you Google that number it comes back as a number in China.

I wonder if there is a possibility of it being dialled as the OP was on holiday at the time...may have done it inadvertently wink

It sure does and most definitely isn't o2 CS 😞

Edited to remove phone number.

yeah but if you ring the number it is directed straight to o2

Now I only looked at the my o2 site and don't recall getting this number i'm sure i would have used the free number.

if I did ring this number I would only have got it from the o2 website but can't find it there.

the only other answer is I did use the free number but it has been directed to this premium number.

So either way it  looks like an o2 problem but how do i prove it?

I don't suggest anyone tries it though and I can't see how it can redirect to o2 - something fishy going on here for sure.......
