preloaded dongle

I bought a preloaded 3gb dongle from argos, I couldn't get on line so bought 1gb pay as you go, still couldn't activate the preloaded 3gb.  I went on the O2 guru live chat facility to get help but it used three quarters of the data I had just bought before I got a solution.  Some one must know what to do?

Contact CS as the sim may need activating first.

Hi @Anonymous

A bit confused here. I can understand that you bought a 3gb dongle from Argos which you couldn't activate. Not sure why you bought a further 1gb?

However I presume you now have this dongle activated as you say it has used a lot of data?

I have used a dongle and the instructions to activate are usually simple

Usually you just plug it in to tablet or laptop,  the dongle will install the software it needs to function with your device, a few clicks after that (to ensure you're connected to the internet) and you are up and running

Sadly, once activated there is no refund on the dongle...and if you feel too much data has been used then you must contact customer services and speak to them http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

No the three gig has not surfaced yet, I bought the one gig top up to get on line but that was eaten (almost) by talking to o2 to find out how to activate the preloaded gigs. Not straight forward at all.
