As jonsie says altering the Apn's should force the phone from accessing o2's internet.

If you don't have a data bundle and your phone accesses O2 Internet you'll be charged £1 per day for Web Daily which gives you 50mb of data use.

From a Google search lots of users have found it not possible to turn off the phones internet connection !

Two examples http://answers.breachnews.com/blocking-internetgprs-on-nokia-113-completely

http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Asha-and-other-Nokia-Series-30/blocking-internet-gprs-on-nokia-113-c...

I would suggest either contacting Nokia http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/ and or see an O2 guru in your local o2 store or visit http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Discussions/ct-p/Nokia_Support_Discussions and ask your question there too.

Let us know how you get on.

If you never want to use data just call O2 CS http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus and ask them to remove the data provisioning from your account.

Pretty ridiculous situation to purchase a phone that comes with data switched on and no facility on the phone itself to switch it off, but has to be done by the network. If it's not made clear to a buyer at the point of purchase they could wind up with bills they hadn't bargained for.

Glad you sorted this out. Went on the Nokia forum and the general consensus was that you couldn't switch it off once the operator had sent the settings. At least you have managed it now slight_smile
