Presumably you are moving to PAYG once your contract expires? Your phone will work with whichever sim you have in it, unless you transfer the number from the contract sim to the PAYG sim prior to the contract expiring.
In other words, as long as you are paying the monthly contract that sim will be active, if you transfer the number to the PAYG sim the monthly one will become inactive.
