Hi, I have just seen the ability to refresh upgrade my phone via o2 refresh. whilst I was going through the process of upgrading my phone I noticed it said something along the lines of trading in my old phone. Im not sure whether it is optional to trade in my phone or not as I was really hoping on giving it to my younger brother.

@HZR_Kairos it is optional.

If you trade in you get a credit on your account for the value of the phone on O2 recycle but it's not compulsory.

A brief guide to refresh here

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@HZR_Kairos  If your current phone is in good condition, give it to your brother. O2 Recycle have a dreadful reputation for either undervaluing phones, or saying that they're damaged when they receive them, and then offer the customer a pittance of what the phone is actually worth. If you search the forum you'll find stories relating to exactly what I'm saying. Either sell it to CEX or another recycle company, or be nice to your brother. I'm sure he'll appreciate your gesture.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
