I am really upset with 02, they may have caused me to miss out on purchasing my new home.
August 2019 i switched mobile phone providers and i left 02, i double checked with 02 via phone and confimred all was paid off, i was assued that everything was sorted and that my account was closed. September 2019 i recieved a letter from a debt colection ageny that i owed £162, i called O2 and they said they would debt my account and close it with £0 in the account.
Today when i went to apply for a mortage it was rejected, i checked my Experian score and and i had a credit notice from 02, i called 02 i asked them why i still owed them money(£162) as i had already contacted them September 2019, they had assued me they had closed my account, today they aplogised that it still had not been closed and that they would do in the next few days, i explaned i was in the middle of the mortage process and it this would hugely affect me in getting a mortgage, they told it would take 30-60 working days in getting the credit taken off my name.
This has runied my chances of purchasing my property, i have even sold my current property.
Can any managers on this site please esclate this for me or members give my advice on how to proceed. I need this resolved ASAP.
Many Thanks
Ash
