can i keep my old o2 number from a contract that was in my dads name , ive now opened a new contract in my name but would like to get my old number from the last contract, the contract in my dads name will be paied off once i know i can get my number

You need to ask O2 to migrate the number to your account which will automatically end the contract in your dad's name.

You both need to be present for the call.
