Since Friday 11 October I have no signal at all on my mobile, I (very occasionally) get 1 bar, which only lasts a second or so. No signal in my house, garden or nearby street. So I went a few hundred yards down the road where I got a signal. I phoned O2 got a really useless support person she asked me if I had switched off and on - I said I had, then she asked if I had removed my sim - I said I had not, but as I had a signal away from home obviously not sim, she then asked if my neighbours had problems - I said I did not ask them if they were O2 or if they had signal. She then checked the system and said that the mast near me was down but did not know how long. It is now sunday evening and I still don't have a signal, but going online to the O2 service status, nothing shows up as being out in my area. HELP!!!
I'm getting really fed up with O2.

Hi @robbiej
Is your phone unlocked to any network? If so several of the the other networks will send out a free SIM in the post which could tide you over while O2 fixes the problem.
My OH who is also disabled with mobility problems has 2 phones on different networks so if one has no signal the other may, though she lives in a poor coverage area for all networks.
If you decide this is an option for you then avoid Tesco and GiffGaff as both run on the O2 network.

Hi JeanniePie and welcome,
Usual advice is to keep checking the service status of your masts http://status.o2.co.uk/
And keep turning your phone off and on to help reset the network services.
Alternatives such as WhatsApp and Viber may be of help.
O2 offer TuGo if your on a pay monthly contract which runs off your home broadband wifi.
Hope you get signal back soon.

I assume your without a home phone ?
Double check your service status
http://status.o2.co.uk
Unfortunately O2 do not give updates in work being carried out so it's a case if checking the status and re booting your iPhone. Turning it off and on.
Try switching off 3G to use 2g to see if that helps.
Options such as Tugo , what's app or viber could be a temp alternative whilst you are at home if you have home broadband.
If it showing ok then re boot the phone by pressing the the top button and home button at the same time until the apple logo appears. Then let go.
Also remove your sim and wipe it.
Go to
Settings , general , reset , reset network settings. Which may help.
to robbiej as you are payg TUGO is no help as not available non payg at present
